Yes, and Jesus made this point as well. But not before such ones received the pristly service of the holy ones and whatever training and knowledge they required to resist Satan when he is released. At this point in time they are free to make choices such on their own.
As to Jason and his comments, the penalty for sin is death, but such death does not forgive the dead one of their sins. Only Christ is authorized to forgive sins and this He
will do for worthy human beings, the sheep that He will raise to life for whatever reason even for such basic human kindness as giving someone a cup of water to drink or the thief that finally responded kindly to our Lord after first
cursing him and asked our Lord to remember him when he came in His kingdom.
