Sightseeing

The house is ideal whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday or some energetic activities.

It is located at the border of the 3 departements of Deux Sèvres, Charente-Maritime and Vendée, making it the ideal base from which to explore the three regions on half or full day trips before settling down unwinding in the patio overlooking the swimming pool or relax in your comfortable bedrooms.

The secluded hamlet where the house is located offers a perfect retreat. It is at the doors of the Marais Poitevin, an area of unspoilt beauty with its great forests and canals and outstanding wild life. Walkers and mountain bikers will be able to enjoy the nature trails through the Green Venice and the majestic scenery of these 600 kms of canals stretching towards the Atlantic.

The historic towns of La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes, and Poitiers are also within easy reach for sightseeing or taking in the local markets.
