Available for holiday rentals as well as friends reunions and other special occasions, this authentic 18th century 'Charentaise' stone house and its private swimming pool sit on a 1.5 acre private park. It lies at the doors of the French "Green Venice" and is only a short drive away from the Atlantic beaches of Ré and Oléron islands and many other attractions in this charming area of France, still preserved from mass tourism.

The house has been beautifully restored with a wealth of ancient beams, rustic terracotta floors and stone fireplaces, carefully preserving its original charm while providing a high standard of style, comfort and privacy.

With its 6 bedrooms and numerous living and play rooms on a total floor area of 500 sq.m (5,000 sqft.), the house can comfortably sleep 12 adults. Additional guests can be accommodated on sofa beds. Just call us to discuss your requirements.

The house is the perfect venue for relaxing holidays among friends or shorter reunions away from the bust of the cities. It combines a wonderful living space with indoor recreation facilites but also has extensive grounds outdoors to enable you to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. It is ideal whether you want to:

The house is located at the doors of the French "Green Venice" known for its 600 kms of canals, which you will be able to explore in small boat available in Coulon. The Atlantic beaches of Ré and Oléron islands as well as the historic cities of La Rochelle, Saintes and Rochefort are also only a short drive away.

The house is easy to get to either by plane, train or car. It is only 45 minutes from La Rochelle where Ryanair flies from London and 2h15 from Paris by High Speed Train (TGV). You can also drive from Paris, Poitiers or Bordeaux as the house is located 5 minutes from the A10 highway.
