How Can I Get Saved?

The process is simple, but that doesn't mean that it is less important. This is the greatest and most important decision you will ever make!

Simply follow these steps and say the prayer at the end (and mean the prayer with all your heart. You might want to make up your own prayer if it will be more meaningful!)

1. Admit you are a sinner! Then ask for forgiveness!
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

2. Be willing to turn from your sins! This is called repenting. Don't worry about whether you can do it or not (btw, you can't do it under your own power anyways) all that matter is that you are willing. God will help you with the rest - the process will take a lifetime. Are you willing?
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30)

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried in a tomb, and rose again so that we might live.
"for if you confess with your mouth of the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you shall be saved." Romans 10:9

4. Ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life and for him to come into your life. then ask him to help you live for him. Finally, thank him for all that he has done. You can say a prayer like the one below, or you can make up your own just like it. What matters is your heart, not the words! The words themselves do nothing to save you if you do not believe them and mean them!

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”

If you said that prayer, congratulations! You are a child of God and a brother or sister in Gods family! Hooray! Now I suggest you read over the book of ROMANS in any Bible, preferably one in a version that you can easily understand. It details Gods plan of salvation and is kind of like a Christian crash-course. Then, go on to the next page to find out what you should do now that you are a Christian!
