SAFETY:

The house is child safe
- cleaning solutions and medicines are secured out of childrens reach
- stairs are blocked off with safety gates
- regular safety inspections are carried out
- toys are inspected regularly

Fire Safety
- smoke alarms are tested monthly and the batteries are changed every 6 months
- fire extinguishers are on hand
- a fire escape plan is posted and fire drills are practiced

Sanitary Practices
-the following are sanitized after each use: potty seats, change pads, kitchen surfaces, mouthed toys, high chairs, kitchen table, craft table
-the following are sanitized daily: floors, carpets are vacuumed, bathroom surfaces
-the following are cleaned weekly: bed sheets, dress-up clothing, play surfaces, door knobs and light switches
- I have a heavy duty air cleaner to keep allergines and dust mites under control

Pets
-there are three cats and one dog living in the house
- the pets have up to date vaccinations
-the pet food and litter is inaccessible to children
-the pets are kept separate from the children whenever possible
-the pets are never left alone with the children

Health
- up to date immunization records are kept for all day care children, my husband and myself
- my husband and I have current TB tests and annual physicals
-this is a well child day care.  Sick children are asked to stay home


Other Notes

-children are supervised at all times
-I have up to date CPR and First Aid Training
- I have criminal record checks on my husband and myself
- I will not leave the children with anyone.  I am solely responsible for your child when he/she is under my care
