Where In The World?
Quick explanation of where youll find the Albion

In short...we're in the part of the West Midlands called the Black Country, which kind of explains why you can get scarves that say Pride of the Black Country or Pride of the Midlands on them.

However, within the reasonable small county there are five other football teams in the area, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Walsall Town, Coventry City and last and by no means least Wolverhampton Wanderers. Yet only Walsall and us have the right to say that were The Pride of the Black Country because originally neither Wolverhampton nor Birmingham fell inside the Black Country boundary.  Ive shown the teams on a map below.

Anyway more information on these teams can be found in the Rivals section of my site.

The Hawthorns' situated just outside West Bromwich town center, on the Birmingham Road leading to Birmingham, and can be reached via the 74 and 79 bus routes which run between Dudley/Wolverhampton to Birmingham; and by foot from the town center in about 10-20mins depending on how fast you walk.

Its probably the football ground in the country to have its own train station, called 'The Hawthorns' and is on the main line between Stourbridge and Birmingham Snow Hill, and also includes a station for the Metro service also called 'The Hawthorns' and runs between Wolverhampton St. George's and Birmingham Snow Hill.

On the way to the match you'll find numerous snack vans on the main routes selling burgers, hot dogs etc but the best one is the one located outside the ground and the Hawthorns' pub carpark.

Oh and be on the lookout for Groty Dick sellers, the Groty Dick's the Albion Fanzine is well worth the 60p and all proceedes go to the Youth Team or at the moment towards the Jeff Astle memorial gates...the same goes for the sweets they sell; Humbugs (in blue and white/yellow and green be warned they turn your tongue a funny colour) Serbert Lemons (Yellow/Green) and for a limited time Astle Mintoes.  All bags cost a quid!
