Ceali hails from the Northlands, farther north than even Icewind Dale, a land known for its Tempites. She first heard of the Living City from traders, who spoke of a city teeming with life and adventure, despite an evil warlord that threatened the city. Ceali decided that she should travel there and offer her services as a warrior and follower of Tempus. So she set out, sometimes traveling with traders, other times she walked alone. Along the way, she encountered many different peoples and creatures. She stayed for a few days in each town she came upon, helping farmers fix fences and barns in return for a place to sleep and a bit of food. Shortly after an arduous trek over the Earthfast Mountains, she came upon a group of adventurers who were gathering information and supplies for the city. They agreed to show her where the city was and they went. She immediately came here to the Temple to give thanks to the Lord of Battle for her safe journey and to announce herself to the Battlemaster, who put her to work training acolytes and making weapons. She has been working so since, minus the time she spends spreading the Word of Tempus and adventuring for the good of the city.

But alas, Ceali took on a challenge that she could not complete, Thunderdome.  It proved to be the death of her, and now she lanquishes in the lower planes, unable to be resurrected, because of her child, the child of Life itself.  But good does come of this.  Her child lives, and now is in the custody of her good friend, Hawke.  She knows that he will love her as his own, and she will grow up to be a mighty warrior, with the wisdom of her many ancestors.  Remember that friends are your salvation in this world.  No one warrior can fight all the odds.  Eventually, one must accept the help of others.

As it turns out, the story of Ceali Thorirdotter is far from over.  It seems that the trepidations of the evil god Cyric deemed Ceali a good tool.  Several of her former adventuring companions, upon discovery of this, banded together to find and save her.  These warriors were her friend, and surrogate father of her child, Hawke, a paladin by the name of Sir Jarkan Malestrom, her brother, Bødvar Thorirson, and another of her friends, the warrior-poet Fodran Clelland.  Along the way, they enlisted the help of the Red Knight to fight against the evil of Cyric.  In return for the Red Knight’s assistance, she called Ceali to her service as a paladin.  Ceali has since answered the call, and recently returned to adventuring after her training.
