Jorian Blackhand, a divine disciple of Tempus, came to this city just after its great war with the Warlord Myrkyssa Jelan. The city of Ravens had suffered much, and many brave Tempites gave their lives in defense of it. Blackhand was sent from our brother temple in the city of Tantras to help rebuild the clergy in our temple. He has served very well in the capacity of Weapons Master. Also a smith, he has helped to make the armory here at the House of War both large and functional.

Jorian is somewhat of an abberation among the faithful of Tempus. A bit more on the peaceful side than most. He has talked his way out of more battles than any other Tempite I have seen. I dont think him a coward for such things. He is a man of his own honor, but does not take it upon himself to kill every man who tries to battle with him. There are few in this city that can stand up to him in one on one combat, and Jorian is very aware of this. And he does enjoy battle, just as much as the next Tempite. I think he would rather pick his battles carefully, taking on the challenges that are actually a challenge for him, and turning away from both those battles which he will surely win, and those he will surely lose. His knowledge of the art of combat belies his natural wisdom, and this makes him a very dangerous foe indeed, and an ally beyond compare.

In the service of the city, Jorian has done a good deal, helping the city with the quest for knowledge concerning the Heart of Bane, as well as serving in the Ravens Bluff Naval Militia. He has risen to the rank of Commander, and has been given command of the RBNS Vanguard, one of the Navy's new Griffon Carrier Escorts. He encourages many of the acolytes and trainees at the Temple to join the Ravens Bluff Military, as do many of the higher ups in the Temple. We feel quite strongly that it is not only a good disciplinary experience, but strengthens their training in combat, as well as strengthening the Navy and Army with the might of Tempus.
