The association, established in 1995, is a nonprofit organization to raise funds to maintain and improve an area of Recreation Park and the Dog Zone at the beach where pet dogs can be exercised off-leash. These are public parks -- you don't have to be a member of the association to use them -- but it is up to those of us who use these facilities to fund the improvements. Our membership drive for 2006-07 is underway. You can print out a mail-back form by clicking here. Last year we had 150 members!
