You have discovered The Phoenix Rising, a production of RP Musicals.
Short for RolePlay Musicals, the original idea came from a thread on the forums of a now-dead site on the Redwall Online Community (better known as the ROC). It was a post where roleplayers wrote or re-wrote existing songs into scenes for their characters. It was a great deal of fun, but only had a short lifetime before it was wiped from the records forever by a routine cleaning of the board.
In June 2005, when the site had died and it was all but forgotten, RP Musicals was founded, first solely on a message board, and later expanding into a normal site, with members and activity slowly building up. The Phoenix Rising is our more sucessful branch. Set in the world of Harry Potter during the 1996-1997 school year, otherwise known as Harry's sixth, it revolves around the lives of six younger and much less famous students during the time of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
What we have put together so far is a compilation of most of the songs we have written for our various characters, and the plotline that strings them together. We invite you to browse around, check out the songs, and listen to the originals that go along with many of them. You are also welcome at the second division of this project, Seasons of Song.
