Aria Colville is a thirteen-year old girl in her third year at Hogwarts. A Ravenclaw by sorting but not necessarily by ability, she grew up in Quebec with the rest of her family until the age of eight, when her parents moved to Britain so her older sister Naida could go to Hogwarts. Sensitive, Aria has been horribly scarred by events in her past that she refuses to tell anyone about - until they come before her again.

Robin Quigley is a midget of a first year with the range of a soprano and the temperament of an Energizer Bunny. Despite being the youngest, he is a great at connecting with crowds and taking leadership, although many emotional issues go too deep for him.

Sylvia Silvertounge is the fourth year from a highly dysfunctional family and is thought of as the goth of the school - a stereotype she plays up to with her clothes, makeup, and behavior. She's clever, in her own way, loves all types of boys, and yet resents being labeled.

Jyles Phantasm is a sixteen-year-old neighbor of Sylvia's, and is very much in love with her, in a cute yet weird way. He also happens to be an organised, paranoid, and hypochrondriac overachiever.

Varella Osko is a fourteen-year-old female look-alike of Harry Potter, which might have contributed to her intense crush on him. She has quite a good deal of common sense (we need more of that in this cast), is very polite, and often too quiet.

Slenn Talconac is an extremely attractive redhead who is known as a flirt at the age of fifteen - or more commonly, the Hogwarts whore. She is very confident and bold, and she has yet to meet her match in guys. Being sprited, she resents the title that the rest of the school has given her, and aims to change it.

Naida Colville is Aria's older sister. She was offered a place at Salem Witches' Academy, but her parents believed she would get a better education at Hogwarts. Now seventeen and Head Girl, she loves her sister dearly, though she has always been the favorite of her parents and feels more loyal to them.

Roland Colville is Aria's older cousin, now in his mid-twenties, and an accomplished young wizard. He and his family lived with Aria's when they were in Quebec, and they visit them every couple years. He seems like quite a nice young man - but he is not what he seems. He is, in fact, Aria's boggart.
