| Hello to all!
As I write this newsletter, summer vacation time has ended and the hustle and bustle of school is in play�and that means 9 months until the Class of 1976 and Friends celebrate our 30-Year Reunion. Due to an overwhelming demand by the �Friends of 1976� to attend our last reunion, we have decided to open the doors to our friends this time round! So, pass the word along to our friends to visit our website and register so that we can include them in our updates. Well, with this, our first newsletter, I though I would update you on the reunion news. � We are very pleased with the 48 alumni who have registered these past few weeks. If we continue at this pace, we should have a good number of folks attending the reunion. However, now the hard work begins now as many of the 48 were already in touch with us. We ask you again to have a look at the Lost Souls list on the website and let us know if you have any leads on anyone listed. � Philip Double, who currently resides in England, has indicated that he may be in Canada next summer on a rugby tour with his son � and if so, he�ll join us! � On our website we have a page titled �Message Board�. This links to a Yahoo Group we created that, after signing up for a Yahoo ID (no charge), allows you to post messages for free! Stop in and join us. � Not all venue contracts are finalized but we are close! We�ll have complete details for you by the next newsletter (I hope). The Lasalle Legion is confirmed for Friday, June 30 for our Meet and Greet. � Brian Pearson sent a note saying �Unfortunately, as of now, I won�t be able to attend, as I will be walking down that isle once more next July 22�. Brian: as of now???? That isle????�LMAO � We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable DJ. He/she must have his/her own music and equipment. We will need the DJ for two nights � June 30 and July 1. Any referrals? � On our website there is a page titled �Sponsorship�. Please have a look at our sponsorship levels as one may suit you or your employers needs. We encourage everyone to consider this request as sponsors allow us to keep tickets prices down. We are also hoping to invite all the teachers to join us for the Friday night "Meet and Greet" as our guests. Most are retired now and living on a fixed income. It would be wonderful to have them join us�without them worrying about the cost. We won�t be able to do that without sponsors. � We have also been posting messages and sending announcements to those 1976�ers that are registered on Classmates.com Sign up for the free membership and see the RSVP responses to the reunion announcement! � Check out our website for our new feature � Alumni of the Month��.you�ll get a chuckle out of this! That�s it for now. Remember, the best way for you to have all your pals at the reunion � is to help us find them! Until next time���.
