LaSalle High School "Class of 1976"
Reunion June 30th - July 2, 2006
Hello Everyone,

As the pumpkins sit out their last days on my front step and we welcome November, I thought it was time for a little reunion update. Only 8 months to go until we meet once again this time to celebrate and renew friendships of 30 years ago!

To date we have found 86 alumni, teachers and friends! A really good start. I hate to repeat myself (well I do!) but I ask that you have one more look at the Lost Souls list on our website and send any leads/tips my way.

We are very pleased to have had over 900 hits to our website already. I encourage you all to continue to visit us at:
www.geocities.com/lasallehigh_classof1976

We have just posted our newest
Alumni of the Month..check it out

Lori Baldo is currently working on securing us a DJ for the Friday Night Meet and Greet and the Dinner and Dance on Sat. We hope to have that booked within the next few weeks.

Kelly Stevens is finalizing the details on our Dinner and Dance for Saturday, July 1, 2006. Complete details to follow in the newsletter next month.

I have been in touch with Mrs. Phyllis Greggain. She has marked the reunion dates in her calendar and is planning (hopefully) to join us. She comments how she so misses her dear friend, Mrs. Betty Eaves, who passed away this past June.

Sponsor news: We are pleased to announce that we have negotiated a deal with Westjet. They will come on board as the official airline of the Lasalle High, Class of 1976 30 Year Reunion and therefore will offer us a 10% discount off their best available regular fares at the time of the booking (seat sales excluded). There are certain criteria; i.e., dates, forms, etc. We will add a link to the website titled Westjet. You can then go and review the information for yourself. I am not sure if this will benefit any travelers (seeing as it doesnt include seat sales) but I thought it was worth a try. For every 50 seats booked, we will receive a complimentary return ticket for a draw or raffle item.

On our website we have a page titled Remember. Please have a look and tell us something you remember of days gone by.

We need a quick survey from you. July 1, 2006, falls on a Saturday. Will you have Monday, July 3, 2006, off as a lieu day? We are deciding whether to plan something for Sunday, July 2 or not. If most are not off on Monday then Sunday will be a travel day and it may not be feasible to plan something for that day.  Please take a moment to contact me at:
[email protected] and let me know your situation. Well tally up the responses and make a decision accordingly.

Have you all checked out our sponsorship page by now? If not please do so. You will see we have several sponsorship levels that may suit you or your employers needs. We encourage everyone to consider this request as sponsors allow us to keep ticket prices down. We are also hoping to invite all of the teachers to join us for the Friday Night Meet and Greet as our guests. Most are retired now and living on a fixed income. It would be wonderful to have them join us.without the worry of the cost. We wont be able to do that without sponsors!

To our friends in the US if you are sending in a cheque either for a sponsorship opportunity or to purchase reunion tickets, I ask that you send them payable to me: Sharron Stevens, 16 Woodstock Way SW, Calgary, Alberta T2W 5X3. Our reunion account doesnt readily accept US cheques. They hold them for a substantial amount of time and also charge approx. $8.50 to process. I have a US account and can cash them much more readily.

Please take a moment to sign our guest book on the website it can make for some fun reading!

The Dec./Jan. newsletter will contain ticket information. It will also be time for us to start putting down deposits on the venues, DJ, caterer, etc. We ask that those of you that are planning on attending the reunion consider purchasing your tickets at the start of the new year. This will allow us some operating dollars.

Thats it for now. Remember, the best way for you to have all of your pals at the reunion is to help us find them! Until next time..

Sharrons Words of Wisdom: Integrity is all about doing the right thing when there isnt anyone watching
