Quiz
Night 2002 – Sponsored by Thompson Taraz and Berkley Land
Amidst
the elegant surroundings of the famous RIBA landmark, 26 teams competed
vigorously for first place. Middleton Potts were the valiant winners
with Sky Properties a long way behind!
The
evening was a great success. A delicious supper following the first
round fuelled enthusiasm for the rest of the evening, and the competitive
spirit reached a noisy crescendo in the music round.
There
was also a game of reverse bingo bravely hosted by Ian Burch. After
buying a bingo card guests were asked to stand and then to sit down
if any number on their card was called. Eventually, Steve Clarke
of AXA was declared the last person standing and winner of a portable
DVD player.
Our
quizmaster Richard Auterac did a superb job and deserves a medal
for coping with unforeseen problems with the buildings PA system.
Warm
thanks to all who attended and especially to our sponsors Thompson
Taraz and Berkley Land Ltd.
Please
look out for the details of the next Land Aid Quiz Night planned
for the autumn, when we plan to make it bigger and better than ever.
