Seraph-
An extremely ancient divinity, It is human in form but has three pairs of wings. Humans often claim that seraphim cover their faces with one pair of wings, their feet with the other and use only the middle wings for flight. Actually, when upper and lower wing pair are not needed for strenuous flight, they are folded down for a streamlining effect.

Shrine-
Is a devotional area to a specific deity or energy (such as season of the year, element, planet, ancestors) If may be as simple or elaborate as you like, and should contain only items you feel appropriate to the nature of the shrine, Examples of items that may be placed on shrines are flowers, crystals, statues, pictures and candles.

Solitary-
A solitary Witch is one who is self-initiated, or one who has withdrawn from group activity and is operating as individual. There were discussions in the early 1970’s about whether a solitary witch, and especially a self-initiated one, could be considered equal in status and ability to a Witch initiated into and trained by a coven, The consensus now among Neopagans is an emphatic “yes” but every Witch, solitary or coven- trained, should have his or her abilities judged on their own individual merits. Summerland-
Summerland is the neopagan term commonly used to refer to the realm in which the souls of the departed reside, rest, and integrate lessons from their earthly life while awaiting reincarnation. Neopagans adopted the tem from 19th century Celtic studies, where it was used to translate a Gaelic-term for an otherworld where the souls of the departed rested after death. The pleasant name Summerland reflects the Spiritualist image of the other side as a radiant, harmonious home for the departed. (
