Deosil-

The term deosil or deiseal- Irish for “a turning to the right” or “the holy round”- refers to a clockwise circular movement used in magick and Witchcraft for the casting of positive spells and magick circles. The movement is associated with the rotation of the Sun around the Earth in the sky, as well as blessing and good fortune. Deosil dances and circuits are common around magick circles and Sabbat fires, as well as around holy objects like sacred stones, crops, fields, homes and buildings.
