The pilot episode started Lt. Commander Harmon "Harm"
Rabb Jr. with Lt. Commander Kaitlyn Pike. After the series was picked
up by NBC, they replaced Harm's partner with Lt. jg Meg Austin.
Where as Meg is NOT my favorite character at all, I have to admit
the stories in this first season are very, very good, if not all
the true to life. |

JAG
was picked up as a mid season replacement by CBS in January of 1997.
The show has been slightly revamped and now Harm is partnered with
a female Marine, Major Sarah "Mac" Mackenzie. Many would
disagree, but I believe the chemistry was there from the start with
these two. |

The
97-98 season sees both Harm and Mac with different significant others.
We also learn more about Harm's quest to find his father, landing
both him and Mac in Russia, fighting for their lives while searching
for the truth about Harm Sr. |

|
The1998
season starts off with the resolution of our heroes quest to find
his father. The rest of the season is full of twists, turns and shockers.
We get more background into both Harm and Macs past in this season,
as well as seeing the blossoming romance between Bud and Harriet and
the loss of JAG's golden boy...but we also get quite a promise. <g> |

The
99-2000 seaon lands us aboard the Patrick Henry and Harm's return
to active flight duty. But when he finally decides to return to
JAG he finds that things went on without him, and things are very
different between him and Mac, as well as the rest of the JAG crew.
By the end of this season we've entered what I call the "Dark
Days" in the JAG world. I was not happy with where things were
heading with the show, and by the end of the season we had real
mess. |

The
2000-01 season we reached a new level of hell. The whole season
was wrought with nothing but Harm and Renee and Mac and Brumby,
with little or no interaction between Harm and Mac at all and when
there was it was stilted and cold at best. By the end of this season
Harm and Mac are further apart than ever and Mac is marrying Mic
while Renee and Harm are very close. We do however get three episodes
at the end that start the ball rolling slightly in the opposite
direction for Harm and Mac with a cliffhanger that leaves us wondering
if our favorite sailor will live or die.

The
2001-02 Season started out with Harm's rescue (with Mac's help)
and the relationship a little rocky between our pair, but after
the first few episodes, things definitely started looking up. We
saw the exit of Mic and Renee (thank God!) and them starting over
with a clean slate. Despite some less than entertaining episodes
this season, over all it was alright. The last three episodes of
this season saw our team in Afghanistan with the season cliffhanger/
shocker leaving us with a severely wounded Bud Roberts having stepped
on a land mine trying to save a young boy playing in the mine field. |

The
2002-03 season picks up right after Bud's accident. After some intense
episodes at the beginning, and what appeared to be a blossoming
romance between Harm and Mac...the season fell flat. Real life news
of pregnancies on the set (Nanci Chambers and Catherine Bell) threw
a monkey wrench into the original plans of writers for this season.
By the end there was little to NO Mac until the final three episodes
of the season, which happend to be filmed mostly out of sequence
while Catherine was still able to work. It was also announced that
JAG would definitely be back for at least one more season, however
the cliffhanger was set up to be the final episode for Harm should
DJE not be re-signed for Season 9. Scary, huh?! |

The
2003-04 season kicked off with our pair knee deep in Paraguay. After
the dust settled Mac was alive and with Webb, and Harm was out of
JAG and into the CIA. It's been a sea-saw season so far, with high
emotions from all our JAG crew. And with the arrival of Harm's new
charge, Mattie Grace, we can only assume that things are going to
continue to be interesting, especially with our Dynamic Duo. And
with JAG winning it's Friday night time slight, talk is we are in
for a Season 10. |

The
2004-05 season kicked off with Harm and Mac back to being friends.
We find out Mac's ailment is endometriosis. The baby deal may now
be null and void. There is much speculation whether or not this
will be JAG's last season. While I feel it's the best season we've
seen in a while, I'm torn between wanting to see it go on, and wanting
to see it go out with style. Here's to seeing where TPTB take us. |
