Dear Diary...

First, let me say I'm glad last month is over with!  Work has been kind of weird.  There's a feeling of 'big brother' watching over you lately, and I'm not the only one who feels that way.  There's speculation that they're looking for reasons to fire people so they don't have to lay people off and pay unemployment.  They did it with our Customer Service Department a few months ago and I think the Claims department is next.  Thank God I've got an interview with the county next week.

On the upside, this month started off with a bang!  Thanks to Phillip, Brad & I got tickets to Ozzfest.  It is by far and away the best concert I've ever been to.  And that's saying quite a bit because I've been to some damn good shows.  It was hot, but the Margaritas were icy and I bought a lot of them.  It just happened that Steven, Shelly and friends had seats next to ours so that worked out really well.  I was bummed that I didn't meet up with Kelly & Kathy, but I hear they also had a wonderful time.

Got our tickets for Scotland today!  Put in my request for time off & bought my travel insurance.  I am so excited.  I can't believe it's less than three months away!

Well, I know it's a short entry, but I've got some pictures to upload to Mom from this weekend so I had better go get to it.

Dear Diary...

Hello again old friend.  I know it's been a while since my last entry.  Here we are halfway through September and this is only my second entry.  The good news is I think my last interview with the county went well.  I've received another invite to interview for another position this week.  So, onward and upward eh?

On the hockey front it looks like my home team, the Gulls, will be a part of bigger and better league next season.  Maybe now they'll finally get some respect here in San Diego.  At the very least they'll get some decent sponsors. GO GULLS!

Made some more angels this week.  That's a fun obsession.  It keeps me busy and out of trouble.

The burgundy angel with the real feather wings is my favorite so far.  Yep, I'm getting excited about the holidays now.  I'm even noticing a change in the air.  It's crisper and the fog is starting again.
