Valero

We took a tour through Valero Refinery to learn how they monitor air quality within their refinery.  Their best available control technology includes heaters that maximizes burning but minimizes NOx, scrubbers, marine vapor recovery system, and flares that burn hydrocarbons with a 98% efficiency. 

Other environmental issues that they are concerned with at Valero include storm water, ground water and waste water.
