Air Monitoring Stations

We traveled to Air Monitoring Site Corpus Christi West C4 and learned about what is being monitored in our atmosphere.

We also learned about Ozone and the difference between stratospheric ozone and ground-level ozone.

Back at TAMU-CC, we did a variety of activities to help students understand the concepts of solids, liquids and gases.

After learning about the six criteria pollutants (sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, ozone, and lead), we ended the day by doing the "Criteria Pollutant Reunion" play. (from Environmental Resource Guide- Air Quality, Grades 3-5)
