Texas State AquariumAt the sea lab, we talked about "fouling communities" and how they form. We looked at the different types of species that have developed on a piece of Plexiglas that Texas State Aquarium keeps in the water year round. Barnicles, crabs and sea roaches are just some of the organisms that live in this fouling community. We then took a tour of the Texas State Aquarium and what goes on behind the scenes. The behind the scene tour included how they feed the various animals, how the pumps are maintained and how the tanks are kept clean.
