Medium Of Instruction

The medium of instructions, at present, is bilingual. Mathematics and science are taught through medium of English and Social Science through medium of both Hindi and English

Affiliation

The Vidyalaya is a branch of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan, New Delhi and is affiliated to Central Board Of Secondary Education, New Delhi and prepares students for All India Secondary School Examination and Senior School Certificate Examination of the Board.

School Dues

1.      The school dues shall be payable for 12 months of an academic year i.e. from April to March.

2.      Mode Of Payment

Quarterly, in advance by 10th of April 2002, July 2002, October 2002 and January 2003

3.      Rate Of Payment

a)      Admission Fee/ Readmission Fee      :      Rs. 25/-

b)      Tuition Fee

Class I to VIII                    :      Nil

Class IX to X                     :      Rs. 40/- p.m.

Class XI to XII                  :      Rs. 50/- p.m.

c)      Caution Money (Refundable)

Class XII Joining Vidyalaya for the first time      :      Rs. 25/- p.m.

d)      Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi

Class I to X & XI-XII

(Non Science students)             :      Rs. 100/- p.m.

XI – XII (Science Students)      :      Rs. 125/- p.m.

e)      Computer Science for

elective subject at +2 stage             :      Rs. 40/- p.m.

f)        Computer fee from VI onwards      :      Rs. 20/- p.m.

g)      Concessions 

No Tuition fee is charged from children of KVS teachers and KVS staff members, students belonging to SC/ST and girl students

a)      For tuition fee : Rs. 1/- after 10th of the month upto 20th. After 20th the name will be struck off.

b)   For pupil’s fund-                                                                                                                            After 10th of the month, higher contribution of Rs. 1/- up to fourteen working   days will be levied. After this the name will be struck off.

   

School Timings

School timing for all classes is from 7:30 to 1:40

Promotion Rule

  1. In primary classes if a child gets e-grade in 3 subjects or more in class III and onwards, he/she will be detained in the same class with the consent of the parent.
  2. In case the parent does not consent, the student will be promoted will be promoted the next class. However, if the student again gets e-grade in 3 subjects or more in next class, the principal can detain the child in the same class.

For Classes VI to IX and XI

  1. Each student would need to pass the continuous and comprehensive evaluation as well as the annual examination separately with at least 1/3 marks. Thus each child must obtain not less than 20 marks out of 60 in each subject in the continuous and comprehensive assessment for class VI onwards and 13 marks out of 40 in annual examination, for being promoted to the next class.
  2. The aggregate marks of 35% in classes VI to VIII and 40% in class IX and XI will continue to be operated.
  3. A candidate of class IV to XI securing an aggregate of 40% but failing in one or two subjects will be eligible to take supplementary examination in those subjects.
  4. A pupil who fails once at the annual result (class VI to IX and XI) may be admitted in the next session of the same or of any other Kendriya Vidyalaya. A pupil who fails twice at the annual result shall not be admitted even in special classes.

Attendance

A minimum attendance of 75% in an academic session will be necessary to appear at the annual examination. Shortage up to 15% may be considered for condonation in case of genuine illness (If supported by with Medical Certificate from a Government hospital)

Withdrawal

For securing Transfer Certificate (T.C) at least 3 days notice in writing on a prescribed form, duly signed by the parent guardian is to be given. It should be ensured that all school dues have been cleared.

Leave

No child is expected to be absent from the school without a valid reason and a leave application from the parents. If a child continues to be absent for 6 working days, without any valid leave application, his/her name will struck off the rolls of the school. In case of absence due to sickness a medical certificate from a government dispensary should be submitted along with the application.

A child may be allowed leave in a very special case by the principal. The application should be sent to the school on the same day or latest by the next date, signed by the father/ mother, or guardian of the child.
