Scheme Of  Studies for Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC Panvel

Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC Panvel is a composite co-education school providing education from class I to class XII. The Vidyalaya structure may be divided into the following structure may be divided into the following sections:

1. Primary sections from class I to class V
2. Middle sections from class VI to class VIII
3. Secondary sections from class IX to class X
4. Senior Secondary Section from class XI to XII

Classes                             Subjects

I to IV                :             Hindi, English, Mathematics, Environment 

                                        Studies (Nature and Social). Art, Work

                                        Experience, Music and Games

V                       :             As above and Sanskrit            

VI to VIII          :             Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, 

                                       Science, Social Studies, Work Experience,

                                       Art, Music and Games including Yoga

Scheme of Studies for Secondary Classes IX and X

Based on CBSE Secondary classes curriculum, Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC Panvel adopted following five scholastic and three non-scholastic subjects in it's scheme for classes IX and X.

Scholastics Subjects :

1. Hindi
2. English
3. Mathematics
4. Science
5. Social Science
6. Sanskrit
7. Sanskrit as an additional option in class X only

Non-Scholastic Subjects :

Subjects in which no external examination is conducted by the board.

1. Work Experience
2. Art Education
3. Physical Education

Scheme Of Studies for Senior Secondary Classes XI and XII

The Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC Panvel scheme of studies at +2 stage, following subject combinations in academic streams are adopted.

 Subject of internal assessment to be offered compulsorily by candidates :

          -  General Studies

          -  Work Experience

          -  Physical and Health Education    

 Subject combinations in Science, Commerce, Humanities in XI and XII classes :    

        Science Stream :

               Compulsory :       English Core

     Electives Any Four :       Physics

                                          Chemistry    

                                          Mathematics

                                          Biology

                                          Hindi

                                          Informatics Practices

  Commerce Stream :      

               Compulsory :       Business Studies

                                          Accountancy

                                          Economics

                                          Mathematics

                                          Hindi
