Oluffa Sofie Olsdatter Halle
Oluffa Sofie Olsdatter Halle was born in Larsnes, Søndmøre (Sande), Norway on January 14, 1890. Her father's name
was Ole (patronym not known) Halle and her mother Oline A. Rasmusdatter. Her siblings included Rasmus, John, Hanna, Sara, Elias and Ole.
She immigrated to the United States when she was 19 years old. She departed �lesund, Norway April 29, 1909. She boarded the Baltic in Liverpool, England and arrived at Ellis Island on May 16, 1909.
She lived for a time with her sister and brother in law, Hanna and Peter Ellingsen, in
Theif River Falls, MN and worked in their restaurant. She was married to Torgus Vensland and mother of
Bertha, Olga, Gilbert, Edwin Adolph and Martin Vensland. Torgus Died February 1927.
She married Maksy Marciniak In December 1928. They continued to live in Minnesota. Their children are James, Harry and Maxine.
Max was born July 30, 1893 and died October 1977. Sofie died June 06, 1978.
