Airports
Kenya has three International Airports.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi)
Moi International Airport (Mombasa)
Eldoret International Airport (Eldoret)
Airport Nairobi
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is approximately
half an hour drive from the Nairobi city center.
Public Transport
City Buses operate in Nairobi and Mombasa
at reasonable low rates. However, avoid peek hours
as most transport is crammed full. Fares to be paid
to the conductor
Trains
There is a rail line from Nairobi to, Mombasa
and to Kisumu where there is first class, second class
and third class accommodation.
Postal Services
Post Offices are identified by words Posta
Kenya and mail-posting boxes are red. Usually you
can buy stamps at the Post Office, Stationers and
Hotels.
Post Office hours are from 8am to
5pm.Monday to Friday and from 9am to 12noon on Saturdays
at main Post Offices.
Telephone
Services
Telkom Kenya provides advanced telecommunication
services that include voice data, Internet, and multi
media. Safaricom, Centel and Ken cell Communications
provide cellular mobile phone services.
Public pay phones are fully automated.
Card and coin phones are available. Phone cards of
different denominations may be bought from Post Offices
or International call Offices in Major towns.
Currency
Kenya’s Unit of currency is
Shilling (Sh/s) (slang: Bob), written 1/=, 2.50/=etc.
Divided into 100 cents©. There are copper coins
of 50 cents and 1/= and silver copper coins of 5/=,
10 and 20/=. Bank notes are available in denominations
of 50/=, 100/=, 200/=500/=and 1000/=.
Banking Hours
Banks in Nairobi and other major towns open from
9am-3pm Monday to Friday and 9am -11am on the first
and last Saturday of each month.
The ATM countrywide can facilitate 24-hour access
to your account.
Credit Cards For exchange of FOREIGN CURRENCY forex
beurea are found in majority of our big cities{Nairobi,
Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru ect and where location
of National parks are found.

Visa
All visitors coming to Kenya require
a visa irrespective of nationality. The single entry
fee is 50 US$(At this time) or equivalent in local
currency. You may apply for a visa at certain Kenya
High Commissions before traveling to Kenya or at
the airport. For more Information concerning this
please, contact your nearest Kenyan High Commission/Embassy.
It is important that when applying for visa it is
recommended one apply for Tourist Visa when participating
in our Programmes.
