Name Location of the Project

Pivot Institute of management studies is located with in Machakos town Eastern Province. It is about 45 minutes drive from Nairobi approximately 60kms along Nairobi Mombassa high way.

Learning Institution assisting the community youth and empowerment and capacity building.

The Institution needs one with the following professional skills;
Community development
Community health
Social work and welfare
Project planning and management
Logistics operations and management\

Duration
0-3 months-6 months For mid term and Over 6 months-12 months for long term


Climatic Conditions

Environment - characterized by the equatorial type of climate
The area is relatively warm/cool with the coldest months experienced in July and August. The wet seasons are normally in April and May and are generally warm. Machakos mostly chilly especially in the morning.
Temperatures range between 20 - 30 degrees Centigrade though there are slight variations depending on the season.
The area is about 1750m above the sea level.

Shopping variety within the town. Reliable communication services are within Machakos Town
Water is available in plenty, clean and wholesome.
Accommodation will be private room. Electricity is available
The biggest hospital is in Machakos Town.


Number of Volunteers Required

A maximum of three {3} volunteers at any given time. Volunteers must start serving in the project at the given time either on the beginning or middle of the month.
