Oyaani Bridge is located in Nyanza Province, Migori
district on the Oyaani hills famous for sugar plantation.
It is a distance of 450km from Nairobi City to Oyaani
, on Migori-Isibania boarder highway
Project Description It is a children’s
center hosting orphans both infected and affected
with HIV/AIDS The institution has 50 Children ages
ranging from 1 year to 15 years,

Nursing the children,
Guidance and counseling.
Farming activities for food security.
Income Generating Activities
for self-sustainability

Teaching skills and / or Experience
Nursing skills
Agricultural skills.
Recreative skills
Social work.
Duration 3 -6 months for Mid-Term
volunteers and over 6 months for Long-Term volunteers.
Basic Facts
Upon arrival to Kenya, an orientation session
/ preparation seminar will be offered. Transport
to and from the project, food and accommodation
arrangements will be taken care of by KVDA.
The area is one of the most
densely populated regions in the Kenyan republic
and very much affect with HIV/AIDS where hardly
a week passes without a death related to HIV/AIDS..
Climatic Conditions
are as follows: -
Environment - evergreen,
with an annual average rainfall of more than 1500mm.
The temperatures are moderate (not too hot nor cold).
There are wide variations despite the changes in seasons.

The place is famous for sugar plantation,
which is a cash crop of the region earning most of
the community ‘s income.

{3} kms away. (Where a variety of basic needs are
available)

is possible in the center.
Number Of Volunteers Required A maximum of {3} five
from January to December at any open time. Volunteers
must start serving in the project at the given time.
