I would like to warn you, that I am not a teacher. I'm not going to teach you any languages. I'm sure, many teachers will not even like what I write here. Use this information with consideration. Try the ideas you think may work for you and disregard the others.
I know, I'm not perfect. There are surely some mistakes in my writing. I did not have anybody to proofread. I think it's not a shame to have a few mistakes when native americans also make some.
I am a native Hungarian. Our language is not similar to any other languages. We have words, that you will not find in any other language. Our grammar is also completely different making it difficult for foreigners to learn.
You have the ability!
Many people said, I have an excellent ability for learning languages. I don't think so. Just ask your mother how old were you when you started to speak fluently. Ask your friend's mother too. I'm sure they will tell the same. There may be differences of a few months but never 4-8 years.
