Sports Video Libary
* I have lots of opinions. Click here for my commentary. *

I like collecting sports videos.  It is an interesting hobby for me.  Thanks to all of those who have been kind enough to supply me with the bulk of these videos.  I really appreciate their kindness in helping me collect these videos and relive those great hockey and baseball moments.  As of now, I have a personal library of over 350 videos!

My favourite teams were the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox.  You will notice most of my collection involve the Bruins and Sox.  Certainly, it's great to be able to watch these classics again especially when the leagues go on strike or when the playoffs get boring with boring teams still in it.  Man...the 2006 edition of the Red Sox were an embarrassment to the organization.  Not making the playoffs.... they should refund their fans the money they paid for the tickets.

I loved the Bruins from 1990-93 and I still followed them after they traded Andy Moog but the likes of Jon Casey, Blaine Lacher, Byron Dafoe, Jim Carey, Bill Ranford and even Andrew Raycroft, were all no match for Moog and his goaltending brilliance come playoff time.

I started collecting because I got sick of the classic sports networks' ignoring of the Bruins' run in this era.  They were in 2 Cup finals, won a President's Trophy, played in 2 other Conference Championships, smoked the Canadiens in 5 out of 7 playoff seasons ('88 to '94), but still were a forgotten team.  Those classic sports networks only showed the same games over and over again - with Gretzky, Lemieux, Roy, the Oilers, Isles - and it was like the Bruins' great moments didn't exist!!  So I basically started collecting any Boston videos with Moog in it or containing some memorable Bruins moment.

Unfortunately, Moog, Craig Janney, Mike Milbury and others weren't given their proper credit... They should have won it all in '90 - and would have if Wesley had hit that open net in the 2nd OT vs Edmonton in Game 1.  They definitely should have won the Cup in '91 - and though they got swept in Round 1 in '93, I think most Bruins fans felt the Cup was theirs that year - the way they played down the stretch in the regular season being the 2nd hottest team - with Moog going 17-1-0 in his last 18 decisions.
