My Attempt at a Comedy Book |

Hillsborough, NJ --At the end of my senior year in high school, I began to throw around the idea of putting all of the ideas in my head down on paper. This didn't take very long and, once I was done, I looked at the paper and there was nothing written on it. So much for that.
But at that time I had a lot of funny ideas to discuss as well as some opinions I felt needed to be expressed, and I wanted to try my hand at putting them down in the form of a book. |

I figured if Al Franken could do it, I've got a shot too. So I began writing it around April 2003, and got a full chapter done within one night. After a week or two off, I went back into it by writing a few chapters; however, none of these were really up to the caliber of what was written in the first chapter, and they were consequently scrapped.
So I went back to the drawing table and came up with a whole bunch of topics I had bits on: department stores, airplanes, memory tricks, mafia car salesman, dorm vs. home, good kid (deprived of all the fun), advertising, gambling rant, reality tv, arcades and parties. Some of these I don't remember the jokes to, but for the most part, there is some solid stuff in there that could really become a heavy part of the comedy book or a standup act.
The first chapter delt with white people playing basketball, and will be uploaded to the website shortly... |
