NEWCASTLE WILL THUMP WEST BROM

05.10.02                                                                                                                                      Previous Page           Next Page

After the disappointing Champions League loss to Juventus during midweek, Newcastle looks set to spring back with a win over WBA tonight.

With Bellamy back from a knee injury, he shall replace Lua Lua in the starting lineup. Lua Lua last scored twice in the season opening match with West Ham which Newcastle won by 4-0. He has since failed to scored.

Bellamy is raring to go and may just be the key to unlock WBA's defence. WBA has lost their last 3 EPL matches and is playing their 3rd match in 6 days.

For the record, WBA lost 0-2 to Blackburn on Monday and lost 3-1 to Wigan in the Worthington Cup on Wednesday. Newcastle should be able to take advantage of WBA's tiredness and win this match easily.

Bellamy is raring to go

It will be interesting to watch this match. The weakest link in Newcastle team is its defence. While WBA has a credible defence but it has problems with scoring goals. Newcastle should be able to score a resounding victory tonight. I predict a 3-0 victory for my beloved Newcastle.

United (probable): Given, Griffin, Hughes, Dabizas, O'Brien, Speed, Viana, Solano, Robert, Bellamy, Shearer.
