MANCHESTER UNITED VS. EVERTON 07.10.2002 Previous Page Next Page Tonight Manchester United welcomes Everton to Old Trafford. I have a feeling that match will be a low scoring one. Why did I say that? Since Bolton went to Old Trafford and snatched a 1 - 0 win over the Red Devils for the 2nd year in a row, the other teams in the EPL might have been thinking that they too can pull off an upset against the Red Devils. Recent form of both team suggests that Everton does not stand a chance against Man U. But, with Rio Ferdinand out on a knee injury, Roy Keane still out on recovery from surgery and Ruud Van Nistelrooy being doubtful as he is struggling to overcome a tight hamstring, Alex Ferguson's team may just lose the stability and edge provided by these 3 key players when they were playing. The absence of some of Man U's key players presents Everton their best chance to try to get something from the match. To do that, Everton has to keep their shape and try to catch Man U on the break. But Everton have to careful not to let Man U exploit the space left behind when Everton push forward.
