The Downs

Compared to FIFA 2004 and FIFA 2003, the controls in this edition have been improved. However, some of the more intricate movements involving tricky dribbles and combination movements like one-on-ones are still rather hard to execute, let alone master them.

Also, there is also a lack of consistency of the hotkeys/action keys in the Menus. For example, in a screen, an escape into the former screen can be the Return key on one menu but on another sub-menu, the button for this same action may be the Esc key. Hence, it takes a bit of getting use to for a new player.

Even though there is an online multiplayer option, what surprised me was that there is no network mode. This is a surprise as this function is not new and was present in FIFA 2004. Hence, not having this mode here restricts some dimension of the game.

Conclusion

Despite these minor flaws, UEFA Euro 2004 has an extremely high re-playability level and accompanied by its brilliant sound effects and graphics, makes this the ultimate gaming experience for the football game fans. For all these plus points, I would personally give UEFA Euro 2004 a rating of 8/10.

So if you are looking for that great adrenaline rush that has been missing in your gaming life for a while, UEFA 2004 is definitely THE Choice for you.
