1. Unity Only Through the Cross

1 Cor 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to announce the good news, and not with eloquent wisdom, so that the cross of Christ might not be emptied of its power.

1 Cor 1:18 For the communication of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Cor 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

1 Cor 1:24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

In a recent article former Presidential candidate Gary Bauer .lamented the fact that there was little unity in the church, and therefore it could not with full force achieve the goals the Lord assigned to it.
