Knocked Off My "Horse"

On a beautiful May day in 1979, while driving on the "Southern Tier Expressway" from Boston to Pennsylvania, the Lord knocked me off my horse (a '78 Mustang), by telling me there was a surprise for me when I got home. He told me that twice. I got the surprise of my life! Jesus Christ! Eternal Life! Born Again!

You see, the dear old pastor who led me to the Lord that day told me that Jesus had paid for all my sins - past, present and future - on the cross. He took me right to Isa 53 - THE CROSS. I believed it (previously to that I thought I had to work my way to heaven), and then asked Jesus to forgive all my sins. When I did I was "blasted" with love, peace, forgiveness, joy and power! I had a technicolor night with the Lord. He showed me a candle continually being blown out, and then relit.

On the second day of my salvation, through tears of the realization of His forgiveness, the Lord told me that "it's thousands of years of thousands of lies upon thousands of lies

Satan's goal since the day we were saved was to separate us from the Cross of Chirst as the only means of sanctification. I call this "The Siragusa Effect."

It took Him twenty-one years to return me again to the truth and faith that brought me to salvation - Isaiah 53 - THE CROSS.
