Our Mission

The Southeast District Alumni Association is an organization that provides Southeast District alumni with communication, social and professional contacts, and continued service and assistance to the National Organization, the National Alumni Association, and the Southeast District at Large.

NAA Goals for 2003
Listed in order of priority

· Create 2 new local associations per district
· Develop mission statement and do long range planning
· Increase membership by 25%
· Fund staff position at National HQ for the NAA
· Increase involvement by NAA members
· Have district convention alumni activities & recruiting run mostly by the district alumni associations
· Develop marketing plan
· Strong district association in all districts
· Increase the reimbursement allocation to the Board of Directors
· Decrease number of Board of Directors from 12 to 6
· Increase communication between Board of Directors and NAA membership
· Have working on-line database
· Create a scholarship program
· Increase financial status by 15%
· Increase the positive perception of the Board of Directors
· Fundraising - continuation of current projects
· Increase NAA participation at district conventions
· Increase support of active programs
· Increase benefits to NAA members
· Increase dues
· Explore merchandising of the NAA logo
· Fully utilize available technology
· Develop ongoing musical service project
· Turn national convention into more of a theme of 'reporting out', and then go have fun
· Create programs that involve music outside the college & university bands
· Improve relationships between the Board of Directors and the National Councils
· Assist with projects of the National Councils
