National Alumni Association
General Information

In 1993, the National Chapters directed the formation of an alumni task force to address questions concerning the future of alumni involvement. The result of their work was the adoption of a National Alumni Association (NAA) in 1995.

The purposes of the NAA are as follows:

  • Provide an avenue for members of the Fraternity and Sorority in good standing
to continue the fraternal affiliation beyond graduation.
  • Provide a medium of communication between the national organizations and the alumni.
  • Promote and assist the activities of the national organizations in accordance with their ideals and traditions.
  • Keep alumni informed of the work of the national organization.
  • Provide professional, organizational, and financial assistance to local active chapters, university band programs, and local music education programs.
  • Provide professional, organizational, and financial assistance to the national organization and national music education issues through gifts, endowments, or other activities as deemed appropriate by the association.
  • Basic Alumni Association Requirements:
Alumni associations may be formed at the local, chapter or district level, or may be designated for a particular geographic area.
  • Each association shall pay an annual association fee.
  • The association fee will provide National Headquarter mailings to a designated officer of the association including one copy of the National Chapter Directory,
National Constitution, The Podium, and other important materials.
  • Membership in any association shall be open to duly initiated Fraternity and Sorority alumni, life, or honorary members in good standing.
  • Any qualified applicant shall be allowed membership regardless of their place of residence, Fraternity or Sorority affiliation, or school from which they graduated.
  • Alumni associations must have at least four members to maintain national
recognition. All members of an association must be NAA members.
