This
lodge was consecrated in Shimla by Most Worshipful the Grand
Master, M.W. Bro. Hari Prasad Mathur, OSM, Most Worshipful the
Grand Master of the Grand
Lodge of India
on 1st November, 1998. which was warranted on 12th October, 1998,
in an impressive ceremony at Freemasons' Hall, Shimla. There were
twenty three founder members who selected V.W.Bro.Justice
Devinder Gupta to be the founder master. W.Bro. Rajinder Aggarwal
was the founder Senior Warden and W.Bro. K.N. Kashyap was the
founder Junior Warden. The lodge was founded to bring the
families more closer. Thus the Lodge has from the very beginning
organising family get-togethers at every alternative meeting. The
Lodge does not serve hard drinks to its members.
In
a very short period this lodge has gained perfection in ritual
working. We meet at Freemasons' Hall, The Ridge Shimla on the
last Sunday of the month from April to December. We have our
election meeting in the month of November and Installation in
December.
6th June, 2004 was indeed a historic day of and for our lodge
when M.W.Bro. Arun Chintopanth, OSM, most worshipful the grand
master paid an official visit to the Lodge along with a high
powered grand lodge deputation from across the country and
performed the Banner Dedication ceremony in a very impressive
ceremony.
In the words of our grand master "It is a very rare occasion
when the Grand Master, The Deputy Grand Master, the Assistant
Grand Master, all get together to attend a lodge meeting such at
this".
