If you want to skip this go to: THAILAND and find out the best places I've been to in this beautiful country. Or, you can go straight to SINGAPORE

My trip to Korea was very short (but very expensive). I just came there to visit Claire whom I haven't seen in a year since our Seneca College dormitory days... when she went back to Korea and I moved out to the island of Victoria.
Mainly, what I did there was go shopping. I learned how to say "Kamsa Hamnida" (sounds like?) which means "thank you" everytime I purchased something. And because I found out that not very many Koreans speak English (or at lest, they pretended not to so they didn't have to sweat it just to help you), I did a lot of sign language to communicate with them I just let my friends handle the talking for me.What I'm trying to say is, if you're travelling on your own, and didn't know anyone there...you're in a whole lot of trouble . Because like some asian races, they mostly kept to themselves..., but you'll find that they're not very different from the rest of us once you get to know them. The problem is, it's hard to meet the locals if you don't know their language. Luckily I knew some Koreans from Toronto, who were such a big help to me while I was there.. like Chang-hee. (Hey did you know what happened on my trip with Claire??...just like your experience with her in Mexico..he!he!he!).. otherwise, who knows where I'll end up!!

Here are some pics taken at Kyongbukkung Palace with Claire

This one is taken with Claire's cousin on the way to a shopping center at the BUS TERMINAL. It was an underground shopping center (DIVISORIA STYLE).

My friends ...who toured me around the outskirts of Seoul and introduced me to their bars...with Chang-hee and her cousin

...curiously enough, I learned that they drink their beers with "dried squid"...which we call PUS IT!!.
