The Shweeb! - Perhaps
the only human-powered monorail racetrack in the world, the Shweeb is
due to be the latest attraction to be added to the Agroventures
facilities in Rotorua. Scheduled to open in July 2007, the Shweeb
is the brainchild of HPVer Geoff Barnett. Click on the image for a

The Festival of Cycling 2006 - A
demonstration ride, featuring folding bikes and recumbents, that
was staged during the Armstrong Peugeot Festival of Cycling in early December 2006. Click here to learn more.

The Bike Wise Crazy Commuter Race - Held in December
2005 as part of the Armstrong Prestige Festival of Cycling, this was a practical
vehicle race for HPVs, with many local HPVers taking.

Challenge 2005 - Organised by
Scott Campbell of Kiwi HPV, this is the club's major event for the year. This year's
event was run on Oct 16th, and attracted a good field of entries from local

The Crafar Crouch
Crazy Commuter Race - Organised by
Steve Gurney, and his company Gurney Gears, this major
HPV event took place in Blenheim in April 2005. Another Race has been confirmed

The ARC-Maurer Lean Steer
Tricycle - a design that
combines the stability of a tricycle with the cornering ability of
a bicycle.
The Avanti "Zeus" - A collaboration
between Olympic rider Sarah Ulmer and the firms of Avanti and Dynamic
Composites, this all carbon fibre cycle recently helped Sarah to gain
gold at the Athens Olympics. More details can be read by clicking on

The I.cycle - an invisible bicycle!
Prone Cycle - A Christchurch
creation. Designed by Steve Martin. The rider is Ross Ward. Profiled

The "Rebel" Tricycle - designed and manufactured by
Tony Woodroofe in Papakura, Auckland. Reviewed in the October 2001
Kiwi HPV newsletter.
The Feet First "Urban Cruiser" LWB - a developmental
cycle, featuring a fully-enclosed drive and a lockable rear storage
area. Described in the December 2002 Kiwi HPV newsletter.
McDowell "Micro-Glide" Tricycle
- Features rear suspension. Designed
and built by Bruce McDowell of Christchurch.
Foggo Fully-Suspended SWB
- Developed for off-road riding.
Designed and built by Martin Foggo of Rotorua.
