These photos are not of a Kiwi HPV, but rather a German machine, created in the early 90s by Eggert Bülk. Quite a clever design in that it shows a good way to combine the advantages of the upright cycle and those of an aerodynamic fairing. It would take relatively little effort and money to convert an existing upright cycle into such a faired eyecatcher. Perhaps such a machine could be entered into our Kiwi HPV HP Challenge?

The cycle's creator, Eggert
Bülk, is one of the better known figures within the world of German HPVs.  He's done a lot of fairing work over the years, including creating some faired low racers. That's him in the photos.

The inner workings of this HPV - not quite like the inside of a Cylon Fighter craft, but close. Not sure why there was such liberal use of fibreglass - making use of a conventional diamond framed upright cycle would've reduced labour and effort considerably.
