Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961)
- Swiss who founded
analytical psychology: branch of psychology that regards sexuality as only one of the many factors influencing human behaviour, as opposed to psychoanalysis.
- broke away from Freud on the issue of sexuality
- Unconscious mind has two parts
Personal: unique to the individual
Collective: shared by all, contains memories of our ancestors, more important of the two.
Introverts: emotionally self-sufficient, use psych. pwr to look within themselves
Extraverts: use psych. pwr to draw closer to others.  Outgoing, comfortable in large groups.
- Four psychological functions: sensation vs. intuition, thinking vs. feeling
