Welcome to Hong Kong! Here you'll find out what the country is like from where I was born.Here is the break of Hong Kong, it occupied by the UK in 1841, Hong Kong was formally given up to China the following year; various close by lands were added later in the 19th century. Pursuant to an agreement signed by China and the UK on 19 December 1984, Hong Kong became the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China on 1 July 1997. In this agreement, China has promised that, under its "one country, two systems" formula, China's socialist economic system will not be imposed on Hong Kong and that Hong Kong will enjoy a high degree of autonomy in all matters except foreign and defense affairs for the next 50 years.

9/25- Hong Kong- China, a large debate is happening on fighting over wether will Hong Kong stay as a non comunist country like China or become a communist country. Back in July over 500,000 people walked the streets of Hong Kong and protested against Beijin's "antisubversion law", but it didn't work that well so now China is saying that it will help keep away terrorism, but Hong Kong Chief said it will lead it towards a "political city". | click here for full story


9/26- In the department of health in Taiwan Director General Chan Chien-jen discovered that SARS can be related to genetics. Also Dr. Marie Lin got samples of 100 SARS infected patient's blood for tests and that she found out that people with the "human leucocpye antigen (HLA)-B46 gene" are going to be affect by SARS, while people with HLA-B13 are kind of immue to SARS. | click here for full story
