| GENERAL PUB INFORMATION: (1) If you are a greasy loathesome English teach, drink beer at Orange World. Go here and nowhere else... (2) NEVER name a girl without written permission from me. I am the only certified "Namer" in Hualien. (3) If you are a rooster (man looking to date young, beautiful, and sweet local girls), you must register with me within 24 hours of stopping on the East Coast of Taiwan... (4) Pub girls rarely date customers. They will tell you if they want a date, otherwise, I recommend giving them space, respect and do not touch or tickle them... (5) Do not pound on the bar (hand, bottle, etc...) The Chinese feel this is disrespectful, and will tell you.... (6) During you second visit to a pub, insist on a Heineken discount. (7) Never ask a babe if she speaks English, they always say no, but really mean yes. (8) No Tabs. (unless your name is Gary) (9) Most pubs open at 7 PM. but area really open once they mop/clean up from the prior night - or around 8 PM. (10) Expect to see large, easily identifiable cockroaches. (11) Never speak Chinese to a police officer that stops you on the way home. Continually say, Wa boo dong... (I dont understand) |

| If one has not visited the Hualien area in some time, one would find many changes to the nightlife on the eastern side of Taiwan. Several Pubs have moved and/or ownership has changed. In one case, a new pub opened using seasoned existing employees and another two were simply found. Understand that Ken has asked me to write my personal impressions of the pub scene here simply because I happen to be everybody's best customer.
