The River Pub:
The River Pub will still undoubtedly be the most famous pub in the area. Understand that Hualien is a port city. Mariners have visited this area for a possible 400 years (plus or minus 20 shots of Jack). Rivers's ownership is the same, but a new manager exists.
River has improved via the addition of a woman's bathroom/mop bucket room. This pub has never run out of Heinekens, but they are still warm. The pool table still exists: including the "sawed off cue" for close to the wall shots.
River Pub will still draw the prettiest and most women in the area - early AM for some reason. If you want to meet a particularly beautiful woman, it would be a good idea to be a friend of Palm-Me, who manages the River Pub. She can get you into better field goal range.
Supposedly, a river flows or at one time flowed under the present day pub. |
