My life thus far...
June 7, 1999~
Sorry for the lapse of time. I am home now for the summer. Current situation is good, except I have no job, the house has no air conditioning, and I have no car. But besides that, I'm as happy as a clam.
One thing I am most happy about is my dear friends, Jennifer and Ryan, were married last week! Another is my dear friend Mary was accepted to the Franciscan University in Stuebenville, OH (well, she was accepted a while ago, but I'm still happy about it!). Another is my brother, Steve, bought a boat on the internet last week, and had to drive all the way from MN to NV to pick it up! Another is my brother, Johnny, was elected Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in our parish. Another is my profit of $35 from our garage sale last week. Another is our kitchen looking better than I thought it would (being remodeled in yellow-green). Another is getting no less than a "C" GPA for my first semester of college at Marquette University.
As you can see, even the little things in life tend to amuse and gladden my heart.
March 15, 1999~
Beware the ides of March!
Hey, I'm back in school now, woo-hoo. I'm getting a 'B' in Psychology 180: Fantasy and Imagination, a 'B' in Medieval Studies: Misogyny, a 'BC' in History 002: Western Civilization, a 'BC' in Philosophy 001: Logic, and a 'BC' in Latin 002. Not as well as I had hoped, but oh, well. I have an appointment with my advisor on Thursday to discuss my schedule for next year. Good thing, too, for I have a little seed of doubt in my head, and I am considering changing my major from Advertising to English literature. I miss home already, but it's good to be back at school. I think of the two months before finals as 8 short weeks; it makes it go by faster!

I'm home for Spring Break now. I just got back from a play by Jon Hassler, "The Staggerford Murders." It was so-so. Hardly any of the original characters are in it! But what am I, a theatre critic? Anywho, I am thinking of putting all my 'obsessions' onto one page so they don't clutter up my 'index' page. Whadda think? Nifty? Okay. Tomorrow is Maple Lake's St. Patrick's Day celebratoin, with a parade, craft fair, various festivities all over town, and the occasional sober person. Oughta be fun. We (my family) are having all the family over for corned beef and cabbage. Sounds sorta confusing (the whole 'family' stuff I mean) if you don't know what I mean. If you're having difficulties with understanding it, email me, okay? I got a 'B' on my psychology mid-term, and I find out the rest of the results when I return to Marquette on Monday, March 15th.
March 4, 1999~
Well, I didn't get the RA job, exactly. I am in a group called the 'Active Pool' and they might call me to be an RA this summer. Sooo, whatever. I am going to live in Mashuda Hall next year with Jenny Hayden and Denise Fujii. I'm going home for Spring Break tomorrow!!! I got a 'B' on my psychology midterm, which is not as good as I thought I would get. I missed my Latin class this morning, and I didn't get to find out what I earned on my history midterm. I guess I'll find that out in a week when I return. And I'm not obsessed with the 'un-named' man that I mentioned in the February 5th entry. I guess it just sorta fizzled out.
March 3, 1999~
It's MIDTERMS week, and I have one left on Friday: Philosophy. I hope I do well. I find out if I get the position of Resident Assistant tomorrow or Friday. And I go home for Spring Break on Friday. LOTS o' stuff happenin' on Fri-dog. Yep. It's really wet around here, Spring is a'coming. Yep. Apostrophes and collquialisms are nifty. Yep. 'Ducky' from "The Land Before Time" is neat-o. Yep-yep-yep! 'Ducky' on the movie "Pretty in Pink" is really cool; I had a crush on Jon Cryer after seeing that movie. Yep.
February 27, 1999~
Well, I am in Chris' room, with a bunch a friends. We saw "Footloose" at 7:00pm, and then went to Dairy Queen. Don't worry, I got a 'Breeze' so I didn't need to take a LACTAID pill. I got my 2 daggers, pewter goblet and pewter chamberstick from Chivalry Sports Renaissance Store today in the mail!!! It was like Christmas in Spring! Yay! And I go home in a week for Spring break! How much better could this get? Oh, I have something GREAT to add: I got the position as Marketing Projects Assistant at DPS here at Marquette. Woo-hoo!!!
Februaury 15th, 1999~
Well, I'm taking Irish Set Dance lessons every Sunday now, I'm trying to eat more healthy, I've decided to give up PROCRASTINATION and all TV except 'Xena' and 'Daria' for Lent, and I was able to fit into a pair of jeans that I brought along to college just-in-case I might be able to do just that! So I guess that's all an up-shot to today's failure: I again missed my morning classes...oops. Oh! And I almost forgot, I'm obsessed with two guys now. One is almost attainable, and the other is a celebrity. The celebrity's name is Colin Firth. Perhaps you saw him on the index homepage? If not, then you should! The other's name is one that I will NOT post on here! Hee hee!
January 29, 1999 ~
Well, I missed my Latin class today, so that means that I missed a quiz. I'm typing this from one of my friend's rooms at Marquette University. We're going to go get some coffee in a few minutes. woo-hoo. Actually, to borrow a quote from Christopher Cupples, "Coffee is not a matter of life or death. It is much more important than that."
This many people have graced this page since June 1999...
(but why would you want to leave mine???)
