Hi, My names Katherine (Kate) which means pure but some of you will know me as MairTine, which is an Irish name, coming from my dads side of the family. It means Bitter Fire and sums me up pretty well.

I am 17 years old and I am currently at college studying psychology AS level and French GCSE. In my free time I study Wicca and magick. My parents dont know about my involvement with Wicca and I have a hard time hiding it from them but I know if they ever did find out about it then they wouldnt approve.

I'm quite shy and tend to have a few closer friends but the friends I do have believe in me (I hope). Even though sometimes I havent always been there for them when they have needed me but I really hope its not to late to change that yet.

Im a pyromaniac. I have a way with fire and love using it to do all sorts of things. I've been a fire addict for years. It started when I was a toddler and my obsession has just grown from there, and by the age of 4 I could lay one. I often get banned from lighting candles or fire in my room though!  Whoops! Fire hazard :P

Im an Arian, which is a fire sign. I can be very determined and like to be in control of situations. I feel really distraught when I feel like Im losing control.

I started finding out about Wicca a few years ago and initiated, as an eclectic witch in September. I love all the elements, especially fire, and have a strong interest in colours and gemstones.

I write a lot of poetry and enjoy reading. I think a lot about strange, philosophical things and ask questions about anything and question everything which usually drives a lot of people insane, if I cant work out why something is the way it is I wont give in until I know why.

Why?

Who says that Im me and you are you? Science? I havent seen any evidence. And who says science is always right?

Also why is something like a curtain, called a curtain? If i made an odd shaped thing out of wood, plastic or material and just decided to name it some thing of the top of my head, people wouldnt agree. So what gave people the right to call a curtain a curtain?
