Are you planning to perform at Parachute 04? Applications are now open for anybody planning to do this. Requirements are as follows:

  • Artists can be DJ's, dance groups, bands or solo artists.
  • Artists must be available to perform from 6pm on the 23 January 2004 until 2pm on the 26 of January. This is from Friday to Monday.
  • Preference may be given to artists who have performed previously at Parachute, international artists who will draw crowds to the festival, and artists who have spiritual commitments in line with the views of Parachute Music.
  • Applications (available here) are due in by Monday 30 June 2003

If you have any artists that you would like to recommend that Parachute Music brings to Parachute 04, try out the Parachute Forum and recommend an artist. Or, you could email Parachute and suggest them. They can be dance groups, international, national or just your local artists.

Are you looking for a job? If so, why don't you consider working with Parachute in their offices? For more information about the jobs that are currently available, visit here. They often look for office assistants, and managers for certain aspects of the work that Parachute does as a whole. Requirements and more information is provided at the site.

Are you a starting artist, or group, that has a desire to grow but is hampered by lack of financial resources? Parachute Music and World Vision have joined together to form a recording grant, to assist Kiwi artists. Each grant is worth $1000, and a maximum of 10 grants will be given out a year. Applications are revised every three months, and artists will be notified promptly as to whether they have been successful or not.
