I got these from a number of sources, including the Parachute Forum and Parachute Music As you've probably realised, I (Kate...the creator of this site) like Parachute. That's why I am creating this site. Some of the best things about Parachute are seeing all your friends again (I always meet heaps of people I know but wasn't expecting to meet there), hearing some really good bands from around the world and New Zealand, being in the front row of the moshpit and hearing some really cool speakers. Matthew Schofield writes:"Parachute rocks! Last year's Parachute was my first and I have to say that I was blown away. The cool bands, the inspirational speakers and the awesome atmosphere of people getting along. If the next parachute is anything near as good as the last one (as I know it will be) then I am definitely coming." Sam Wickenden writes: "Parachute is amazing. It's so awesome getting that many christians together in one place, the atmosphere is awesome and everybody just keeps saying how friendly everybody is. That's so true. I've been to six now and dont plan to stop at all - I'll just keep going and going and going! ive been on crew for the last 3 years involved in set up and it's the most amazing thing to do." It's fully cool - you are there the whole week beforehand and get to meet a whole bunch of really cool people. The first year I did crewing, one of the major bands showed up a couple days early and we hung out with them and stuff and in their last gig they asked our crew to stand up on stage with them so we did and it rocked!" Holly Gray writes: "Parachute rocks and it is a great place to go mingle with other christian people. The atmosphere is so cool - Parachute 03 was my first parachute and everyone there is so nice. It felt like my home and that I belonged there. The best thing there is everything and the fact that it is random is perfect - I love the bands at Parachute, and how I keep meeting people I know." Hannah Johns writes: "I have only been to Parachute twice, but I have to say it is the best event i have ever been to. You get to meet heaps of new people, listen to some awesome as bands, and stay up all night on a high from too much V and coffee and lack of sleep Seriously, it is so great, and the new venue (Mystery Creek)will be sweet as next year - it will be awesome as.
