  • PYS Preparation Guidelines

This website is designed to be a general resource to help all participating youths of the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme and intended only as a guide to assist with preparations for the programme.

It is recommended that National Leader and/or contingent adopt, modify and update the information contained in this website, as appropriate to suit the needs of their delegations.

There are many activities will be organized to fill your days on the Ship. Some important activities that feature on the official programme are listed here for you.

This section overviews each floor of the Nippon Maru to give PYS a sense of their living space and how each space has been used in previous SSEAYP.  In doing so, it is hoped that PYS are able to learn about and make the best use of the numerous areas of the ship available to them.

The official languages of the Ship are English and Japanese and all announcements will also be made in both languages... but there is still a special language that you need to learn.
